Redcar MP Mo Mowlam will switch on the town's Christmas lights and lead a High Street singalong on Sunday, December 3.
The switch-on has been organised by The Clarion in association with Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Town Centre Management and the Redcar Business Association.
Joining Dr Mowlam for a parade from the town's East End bus station to a special stage opposite Boots in the High Street will be Father Christmas, Boro mascot Roary the Lion, a professional marching band and Cleveland Police horses.
BBC Radio Cleveland's Red Balls of Fire duo Clem and Fischer will count down to the switch on at 4pm as the climax of a special four-hour town centre roadshow.
