A WORKSHOP to help farmers and landowners make the most of woodland grant schemes takes place next month.
Yorwoods, the Yorkshire Woodland Initiative, has arranged the session for Wednesday, December 6, from 1pm to 4.30pm, at the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre.
It will help farmers and landowners to complete Woodland Grant Scheme (WGS) and Farm Woodland Premium Scheme (FWPS) applications.
Martin Glynn, of Yorwoods, said: "The WGS and FWPS are the major sources of funding for woodland work in the UK. Obtaining permission for planting, thinning and felling is also via the WGS."
