POPULAR newscaster John Suchet will be showing another side to his character next week - when he puts music in the news.
The TV journalist will be indulging in his passion for the classics by bringing his stage show, Beethoven - the Last Master, to Northallerton.
The show takes the audience on a tour of the life, times and music of one the greatest composers.
With live musical illustrations he brings the master to life - where he ate and drank, who his friends were, and his fruitless search for a wife are all included.
The event is the latest in a long line of successful live shows at the Hambleton Community Centre, ranging from the tribute band Beetles UK to bird-watching former Goodie Bill Oddie.
"We have attempted to give residents a wide choice of entertainment over the past year," said the chairwoman of Hambleton's leisure committee, Susan Latter.
"We will now be sitting down to analyse the success of this approach and hope more shows will follow in the future."
Beethoven - the Last Master will start at 8pm, next Friday. Tickets are £10
