A DISTRAUGHT family is appealing for help to trace a lost cat.
The cat, which answers to the name of Mac, went missing from the Symington Walk/Hunden's Lane area of Darlington on Wednesday evening.
This is the first time that Mac, who is tabby and white, has gone missing for so long. His family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Recently, Mac returned home with a collar on his neck, and it is possible that he may have been taken in by someone who does not know he already has an owner.
People are also being asked to check their garages and sheds, just in case he has become trapped.
Mac has grown since the photograph above was taken.
He has been neutered and microchipped, which should make it easier for him to be returned to his owner if he is found and handed in.
Anyone who has seen Mac, or has any information about him, is asked to contact 0410 497745
