EXOTIC pet owners are being invited to find out more about keeping their animals well.
Pets at Home, in Teesside Park Drive, Thornaby is holding a reptile day with specialists from leading reptile sanctuary Proteus, on hand to give out advice.
The event, next Saturday, from 11am to 4pm, is free to lizard lovers although pets should be left at home.
There will be advice, fact sheets and dietary information available for owners and those thinking of buying a pet. There will also be a display of pets.
Sarah Beales of Proteus said: "Reptiles are now the fastest growing sector of the pet industry in the UK, but unfortunately, people's knowledge about reptiles and what is involved in keeping them as pets is fairly limited.
