MOTHERHOOD has turned out to be a big bore for a four-year-old Rhodesian ridgeback, who is a girl who just wants to have fun.
Even though she has ten hungry mouths to feed, Dindindy - the name is African for party - is just not the maternal type.
Her owner, Kate Wilson, is desperate to find some alternative canine comfort for her growing brood.
She needs to borrow another bitch for a week to act as a nanny for the pups, because Dindindy has turned her back on them.
Kate, who runs the Ramshaw Rescue Centre, near Bishop Auckland, County Durham, as well as keeping her own pets, said: "If she was a human she would just want to go out and party all the time. She needs a nanny.
"This is her first litter and she has turned out to be a hopeless mum, so it will probably be her last.
"They are lovely pups and they need a little extra help."
Anyone who can help should ring the centre on (01388) 834644
