POLICE are concerned for the safety of a pensioner missing from his home.
David Ross, from Newton Aycliffe, who is said to be suffering from depression, was reported missing by a friend last Monday.
Mr Ross, who walks with a limp, previously lived in Winterburn Place. He is a regular in the pubs and clubs in Newton Aycliffe.
Acting Inspector Kevin Blakey, of Newton Aycliffe police, said: "He is depressed and I am concerned that we try to trace him as soon as possible and offer him some assistance."
Mr Ross is in his late 60s and 5ft 2in tall. When last seen he was wearing a thick blue anorak and a brown checked jacket.
