Bishopton and Redmarshall Primary School, in Stockton, has joined forces with Darlington's Lifelong Learning Initiative, and Stockton's Adult Education Service, to allow adults to use its facilities.
It will run courses, including basic computer lessons, which will be held on Wednesday mornings in the school's computer suite.
The adult courses are being run alongside a new scheme to train pre-school teachers to deliver the foundation stage curriculum.
Parent governor Sue Whitcombe said: "Our school is at the heart of the community. The governors are keen to make our facilities widely available."
