A website has been launched with the help of Mo Mowlam to provide a one-stop source of equal opportunities employment information.
The aim of Equality North East is to help cut down the amount of time and resources needed to find the answers to any equal opportunities questions.
The Equality North-East website, www.equality-ne.co.uk, includes fact sheets, search facilities, news, items, best practice examples and signposting to other relevant organisations, both regionally and nationally.
It was part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Department for Education and Employment.
The launch was held at South Bank Women's Centre because, as well as it being Mo Mowlam's constituency, it is one of the official access points for the website
