Chris Waddle will kick-off the New Year in a Tow Law shirt after last night agreeing an emotional return to the Ironworks Road ground.
Ex-England international Waddle started his career with the Northern League club. Manager Graeme Forster had been hoping for some time for an arrangement with the Newcastle United legend, who has been with Worksop Town in the UniBond League this season.
Waddle, 40 next month, will play in a testimonial game for long-serving defender Mickey Bailey, on January 2. Forster said: "Chris is in the area at the time and has agreed to play."
