A MAN arrested following the murder of a primary school teacher is still poorly but stable in hospital.
The 39-year-old is under arrest in connection with the death of his partner, Lesley Grant, a teacher at Whinney Banks Junior School, Middlesbrough. Before that she taught at Harry Dack School, Loftus.
Ms Grant, 43, was found dead last Friday night in the kitchen of the home the couple moved to about a year ago, in Whitby Road, Loftus. She had suffered multiple stab wounds.
The unnamed man was also found in the kitchen in a semi-conscious state, suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to Middlesbrough General Hospital
