A CONSULTATION exercise is being launched to help improve the care of young disabled people.
Middlesbrough social services, and the Shaftesbury Society, a leading national specialist group, have teamed up to find out more about the needs of young disabled people, their families and carers.
The consultations will provide the basis for a three-year development plan for disabled people under 25.
Janet Errington, who is managing the project, said: "We want as many service users, families and carers as possible to help us shape how we develop services."
Councillor Eddie Dryden, Middlesbrough's commissioner for social services, said: "We are asking what people feel about services, and importantly, what would make them better, more accessible and more in tune with their needs."
Anyone who would like a survey and has not already received one can contact Ms Errington on (01642) 300870.
