JENNY is one pampered puss. While other moggies count themselves lucky to own a favourite spot by the fireside, Jenny has her own front room. She also has a kitchen, a dining room and bedroom.
Jenny's perfect pad, which she shares with several other pals, is a complete semi-detached house in a quiet residential street in Spennymoor, Co Durham.
Owner Pat Kidd splashed out on the pussy pied-a-terre when she decided her pets needed more room.
Pat, who has bred championship cats since 1975, said: "We always wanted a detached house. We brought this house in 1973 and when our neighbours put up the for sale board, we decided to buy it.
"It wasn't with the cats in mind, we just wanted more space. My husband wanted more room to work.
"Then we got a few extra cats. Now we have one kitchen on the right, which is ours and one which is carpeted and all done out for the cats."
No expense has been spared to give the cats a home that's second-to-none.
The cats' quarters include a washing machine where all their bedding and show blankets are cleaned by a personal laundry service.
A quick peek in the freezer reveals a compartment packed with Jenny's favourite - a pig's heart supper - which has to be served at just the right temperature.
That's why there's also a microwave where tasty fish dinners are done to a turn. And to make sure their coats are always luxurious, the pampered pets have their own diet supplement of evening primrose and cod liver oil.
The cat and kitten haven also comes fully equipped with climbing frames and outdoor pens when the animals fancy a bit of relaxation in the garden.
The pets might find their luxurious pad relaxing, but Mrs Kidd has to spend at least an hour after work changing the cat litter, cleaning bedding and dishing out food.
All this TLC has paid off it seems, as Jenny is now the United Kingdom Grand Champion after winning the feline equivalent of Crufts.
Jenny, otherwise known by her show name of Kresta Silver Mollyjenson, recently made history by becoming the first silver female tabby to win the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy Supreme Show.
Proud Pat said: "I was determined she would win this time, so I started my preparation in August. There's an awful lot of hard work involved.
"She's the only female of her breed to have achieved this in Great Britain.
"I feel very, very privileged. It was such a high standard."
To become grand champion, Jenny beat off some fierce competition. There were more than 1,800 cats, from as far away as Jersey, Scotland and Ireland, at the weekend's show in Birmingham
