A POWER firm has taken a real shine to a seaside resort.
Enron, which markets electricity and gas, called on one of its subcontractors to string up more than 10,000 Christmas lights above the centre of Redcar.
Retiring Redcar MP Mo Mowlam will switch on the lights on Sunday.
A host of Yuletide activities has been planned by Redcar and Cleveland council, Redcar Business Association and Redcar's Town Centre Management.
Ian Clifford of Enron, said: "It's good to see the council, the business community and traders working together to create some Christmas cheer.
"We had no hesitation in offering our services.
