AN annual festive fundraising float will begin its tour around the Darlington area on Wednesday.
Santa's Float, run by the Darlington Bondgate Round Table, is hoping to raise more than £9,000 for various charities in the area.
On Wednesday, the tour visits the villages of Sadberge and Middleton St George.
On Thursday, the High Grange estate will receive a visit and on Sunday, the float will be in Hurworth, before moving into the Victoria Road area of town on Monday, December 11.
The float continues its tours on the following three days, when New Coniscliffe, Branksome and North Road will be visited.
On Sunday, December 17, it moves to Hummersknott, Monday in Brinkburn, Tuesday in Mowden, Wednesday in Whinfield, Thursday in Elton Road and finally Saturday, December 23 in High Row.
On the last day, children can have their photographs taken with Santa and the float on High Row for a small charge.
The float sets off at 5.30pm on weekdays and 4.30pm on Sundays. The final Saturday on High Row lasts from 9am to 5pm.
