A MAN left with terrible injuries in a brick attack has commissioned pictures of the spot where he almost died in an attempt to regain his memory.
Euan Kellie, 23, was left fighting for his life following the incident outside the Tuxedo Princess floating nightclub, moored on the Tyne at Gateshead.
Four months on he is trying to remember what happened with the help of photographer Steve Elwood.
Mr Elwood said: "I got an e-mail from Euan a couple of weeks ago explaining what had happened to him.
"He asked me to take photographs because he had not been back to the area, and he thought if he saw pictures it would help with his recovery.
"He said he wasn't bothered whether anyone was caught for what happened but was just grateful he was still alive."
Mr Kellie, from Manchester, who had been in the city for a former university friend's wedding, said he wants to return to Newcastle to have a night out.
Police are still hunting three men turned away from the club for queue-jumping, just before the attack
