A MYSTERY benefactor with a talent for making dolls' houses has come forward to help a pub appeal for the second time.
The craftsman, a modest friend of The Vane Arms, Thorpe Thewles, near Stockton, has donated a doll's house for the second year running.
The model will be the star prize in a raffle in aid of the Alzheimer's Research Trust.
The first doll's house, which was designed as a collector's item, helped to generate £1,100 for the charity.
Now, landlord Nigel Anderson hopes this year's, which is more of a child's toy, will raise just as much.
He said: "I was gobsmacked when we were offered the first doll's house, and this one is just as amazing."
Tickets to win the doll's house can be bought for £1 each from the pub. The draw will be made on December 20.
The pub is seeking other donations for use as prizes
