A BROWNIE pack marked its 80th birthday with a weekend of celebrations.
Members of the 1st Redcar Brownies, based at Guide Hall, on West Dyke Road, staged the events to mark the anniversary and raise the group's profile.
Starting on Friday, the pack's actual birthday, the youngsters wore their uniforms to school.
On Saturday, they joined other Brownies, Rainbows and Guides from the Redcar east district to perform songs in Redcar High Street. As a finale, a birthday party was held.
Redcar East district commissioner Angela Burniston said: "We are recruiting new members. Anyone interested can either write to me at the Guide Hall, or telephone on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday even-ings, on (01642) 493316.
