PEOPLE have had their say on how Darlington's South Park should be improved.
Darlington Borough Council asked for views on how the area of the park between the Skerne Park estate and Grange Road could be developed.
The council says the consultations highlighted a desire to see an improvement in the appearance and use of the park and the river Skerne.
A report to members of Darlington Environmental Forum, which met yesterday, said that the council's policy is to investigate possible creation of wildlife areas in parks.
The People and Nature group in Darlington told the forum the council should aim to introduce less intensive, sustainable management regimes, including wildlife habitats
