A 64-YEAR-OLD driver whose car careered into a garden in County Durham suffered a massive heart attack, a post mortem examination has revealed.
Philip Blamire was travelling along the B6282 at Etherley Grange, near Bishop Auckland, with his daughter when he lost control of the Audi estate on Sunday morning.
Mr Blamire, of Rudland, High Etherley, was taken to Bishop Auckland General Hospital but later died. A post mortem examination confirmed his death was due to natural causes.
Police said his daughter was shocked but unhurt.
There were no other vehicles involved.
