YOUNGSTERS at a Chester-le-Street school are getting in the festive spirit by staging a traditional pantomime.
The pupils at Bournmoor Primary School, including Liam Grant, front, playing Jack, have been busy rehearsing their version of Jack and the Beanstalk.
They will be staging the show for parents and grandparents and the school is promising a colourful and entertaining spectacle for the audience.
A school spokeswoman said: "The children can guarantee that their exciting performance is packed with singing and dancing.
"It will not only have their audience enthralled, but will also have them roaring with laughter.'' The panto will be staged this afternoon and on Thursday.
Both performances start at 2pm. Picture: MIKE URWIN
