WORKSHOPS to bring books to life for children are being held next month.
Wear Valley Arts is working with arts group Scrapbank to provide creative workshops on literature.
The workshops take a theme from literature and young people and their families have an opportunity to discuss stories and create characters, props and scenery.
The first three Saturday afternoon sessions, which finished on December 2, were based on CS Lewis's book The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
There are more workshops planned for January, when the theme will be Dragonslayer; and in February, when the theme will be Creepy Crawlies.
The workshops are being held at Crook's Elite Hall and cost £1 each, or 75p each if there are three or more in a family. For details contact Wear Valley Arts on (01388) 765555 extension 412.
