A UNIVERSITY has thrown a Christmas party, with a sober message, for students.
The message for students from the University of Teesside yesterday was have a fun, but safe, festive season by looking after their health.
Fiona Hyslop, of student services, said: "Christmas is an important and fun time for many students.
"For some, however, it can be exhausting and stressful, with scarce finances and looming exams. It is important, therefore, to look after your physical and mental well being."
There was advice on sensible drinking, safe sex and stress management at the party. Staff and students also took part in a Christmas quiz.
