NORTH-EAST detectives and British Transport Police are continuing to try to piece together the last movements of a man whose body was found on a railway line.
Peter Evans, 47, was found on a stretch of track at the rear of The Royal Vaults pub, Church Street, Hartlepool, last Thursday at 8pm.
He had suffered injuries to his face and body which could have been sustained during an attack or fall.
Mr Evans kept himself to himself and had few friends.
The last confirmed siting police have of him is when he left his bed and breakfast accommodation in Stockton Road, Hartlepool, at about lunchtime on Thursday.
In the hope it will jog peoples memories, Cleveland Police have released a photograph of what Mr Evans was wearing when he died.
He was found wearing a black, long sleeved v-neck jumper, dark trousers, and a mid-brown overcoat with a dark brown fur collar.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have any information, or who may have seen Mr Evans at lunchtime or between 7.30pm and 8pm, on Thursday, November 30, to contact them on (01642) 302191
