THREE people arrested after a street battle in Middlesbrough have been released by police.
A 22-year-old man, a 16-year-old youth and a 25-year-old woman have been given police bail, pending inquiries.
A man was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries after a fracas, involving 40 men and women, below the Albert Viaduct, which carries the A66 as it bypasses Middlesbrough.
At the same time as the trio were released, Cleveland Police made three further arrests, two women, aged 18 and 25, and a man in his 20s. They are helping police with inquiries.
The fight spilled over from a taxi rank in Wilson Street, at the foot of the Linthorpe precinct, early on Wednesday.
