MEMBERS of the two Rotary clubs in Ripon are working to bring some Christmas cheer to flood victims.
They have joined other clubs in making a donation to a scheme run by Yorkshire Rotary district to help people whose lives were disrupted by flooding last month.
Ripon Rotary and the Rotary club of Ripon Rowells are packing and distributing hampers containing Christmas cakes, puddings and other festive foodstuffs to flood victims in and around the city, but they need to know who has been affected by water inside their properties.
Anyone whose house was flooded, or who knows anyone in a similar predicament, should contact Mr Kneale Pearce on 01765 604838, or Mr Mike Younge on 01765 602812.
Ripon master baker Mr Ken Davill, who is also a Rotarian, was this week making Christmas cakes for about 300 hampers.
