CHILDREN at Cockton Hill Infant School, near Bishop Auckland, entertained parents with their version of the Nativity, called Hosanna Rock.
Sixty reception pupils took part in the show, plus a choir of 24 from years one and two.
Headteacher Dr John Redman said: "We like the children to understand that as well as all the excitement over Santa, which is important, there is also another reason for Christmas.
