WINNING the Town Championships is becoming something of a habit for a Darlington school's cross country teams.
Eastbourne School's cross country teams have taken the title again, for the fourth year in a row.
It was the seventh time in nine years the school has had overall success in the competition, and put together its best set of results ever.
Four of the school's teams finished first, while two others were second by a small margin.
It won the overall boys' trophy, overall girls' trophy and accumulated seven from the nine available prizes. The previous best performance was five of the nine trophies.
The boys' team of the school has now won the overall boys' title for ten years in a row.
As a result of the school's performance, it will provide the majority of Darlington's 64 representatives in the County Championships, at Bishop Auckland on January 20.
The school will also represent Darlington in four of six age groups in the County Cup competition, against the best schools between the Tyne and the Tees, in Durham, on January 26
