A design exhibition has mixed the workplace with the art world.
Designer David Arnold yesterday unveiled his latest display in Barnard Castle, as part of theDesign for the Dales project.
The exhibition, called Work, features four large painted rectangles covered in materials gathered from offices, businesses and workplaces across Teesdale. It was launched at Enterprise House, in the town's Harmire Enterprise Park.
Begun in 1998, Design for the Dales has taken displays of rag-rugs, furniture, glass and ceramics, baskets and tapestry weaving to the people of Teesdale and Weardale.
Project coordinator, Denise Alexander, said David's display used a variety of ordinary objects from the workplace to create the artwork.
Design for the Dales is supported by Teesdale District Council, Wear Valley District Council, Northern Arts, Durham County Council and the Arts Council of England
