PRIMARY school pupils performed their nativity play to a packed hall yesterday.
Every pupil from Sadberge Church of England Primary School, Sadberge, near Darlington, took part in the production.
There were two performances in front of parents, family and friends at the school.
Headteacher Hilary Barren said: "The youngest children at key stage one did the acting and dressed up to play the parts in the nativity. The rest of the children were involved in the readings and singing.
"It is really quite invaluable for the children to take part in this, because it is a team effort and it gives them something to work together on, right from the youngest to the oldest."
Some of the school's pupils were playing woodwind instruments, and the pre-school group played their part with a song.
Mrs Barren said: "We never charge for it, but we're quite happy if parents want to make a donation.
"We are really pleased with the way it has gone, because we usually have a full hall for the evening performance, but to be full on the afternoon is excellent."
