THE hot performance of entertainer Wengo Riley is sure to warm up the crowds with his fiery antics in the coming weeks.
Fire-eater Wengo is one of a host of international performers who plan to visit Newcastle's first open-air ice rink in the run-up to Christmas and New Year.
Children's entertainers are due to perform at the city's Frost Fair at the rink, between 4pm and 7pm, today, and between 1pm and 5pm, on Saturday, December 16.
On New Year's Eve, crowds throughout the city will be entertained by international street performers, including Theater Titanick, from Germany, one of Europe's biggest street theatre companies.
On the night, a procession will head from the Tyne Bridge through Grainger Town, ending in a grand finale at the Haymarket.
Operating until January 6, the Newcastle ice rink is open from noon to 8.30pm. Tickets are £3.60, £2.60 for children
