DETECTIVES are seeking a man seen shoplifting at a Darlington store.
Closed-circuit security cameras caught the man stealing a Detor Power portable dehumidifier, worth £84.99, from the Great Mills DIY store in Meynell Road.
He picked up the dehumidifier and put it in a kitchen unit which he carried outside, towards a fence.
He then left the store empty handed and walked to a burgundy coloured Shogun 4x4 car parked outside, which contained a number of people. He then walked to the fence and picked up the white box containing the dehumidifier, returned to the Shogun, and drove away.
Police are investigating the theft, on Saturday, June 3, at about 2.10pm.
The thief is described as Afro-Caribbean, 6ft, in his late 20s to early 30s, of stocky build, with short, black hair. He was wearing a shiny black anorak and light blue jeans.
Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 156/00
