THE motor-racing circuit at Croft is back in the spotlight at a public meeting.
People living nearby have been campaigning for some years for action to limit the amount of noise generated by meetings at the venue, with Richmondshire District Council eventually stepping into the row, issuing a Noise Abatement Notice.
However, the authority later dropped the action on the advice of a lawyer - and little has been discussed since.
In October, councillors agreed a briefing should be arranged to update residents on the current position. The meeting will be at the village hall in Dalton-on-Tees at 7pm tonight.
Senior council officers will outline the history of the issue as well as the position today, and will be available to answer questions.
A number of district councillors have also indicated their intention to attend.
The circuit has been notified of the meeting but it is not clear whether it will be sending a representative
