YOUNGSTERS from schools in Middlesbrough have been taking part in fun activities.
Their adventures have been funded through the New Deal for Communities scheme, in west Middlesbrough.
Nearly 60 pupils from Whinney Banks Junior School spent a day as Vikings at the Danelaw Village, in York.
Pupils, aged seven to 11, from Newport Primary School produced a mural and piece of music inspired by the environment and landscapes of different parts of the world.
Children from Archibald Primary School visited the Millennium Dome, after they took part in an arts week.
Pupils have also enjoyed theatre trips, while artists and theatre groups have visited the schools.
Youngsters visited Boots the Chemist as part of an anti-drugs education project.
