A POSTER drawn by a young boy whose father was killed by a drunken driver will appear all over County Durham and Tyne and Wear over Christmas and the New Year.
The emotional image is part of a drink-driving campaign launched by four of the area's councils, in conjunction with police and Asda stores.
Thousands of posters will appear in pubs, clubs, community centres, shops and libraries in the area.
The launch has been timed to coincide with the national campaign aimed at reducing the 7,523 failed breath tests and 420 drink-related fatalities recorded in Britain last year.
There were 205 failed breath tests in the Tyne and Wear, Northumberland and Durham areas following accidents last year.
Councils in the campaign are Durham, Darlington, Tyne and Wear and South Tyneside.
