AN Anglo-Saxon family will set up home in Newcastle's Laing Art Gallery as part of the Lindisfarne Gospels exhibition.
The final illuminated double page of St John's Gospel will be unveiled today.
The pages feature a design made up of multi-coloured birds and the famous words, In the beginning was the Word.
The Theod re-enactment society will dress in costumes from the period when the Gospels were created on Holy Island.
The Gospels are on loan to from the British Library, London, until January 7. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday, 10am-5pm, and Sunday, 2pm-5pm. Admission is free.
