A SCHEDULE for bin collections in Redcar and Cleveland over the Christmas period has been announced by the local council.
With three Bank Holidays, on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council says it hopes to be back to normal by January 15.
There will be a normal collection until Friday, December 22, and then there will be two-day delays on the normal collections from Monday, December 25, to Friday, January 5, and one-day delays in the week starting Monday January 8.
The council's assistant director (direct works) Mike Hardman said: "As in previous years, we are working a number of Saturdays in order to catch up.
"We anticipate the service will be back to normal on Monday, January 15."
The civic amenity site in Wilton Lane, Guisborough, will be open each day, from 8am until 4.30pm, apart from Christmas Day.
