CRAIG Midgley's second goal of the season ensured a single-goal triumph for Hartlepool United at Halifax Town.
The diminutive front man struck the only goal of the game on 70 minutes. Paul Arnison's long ball from deep was spilled by home keeper Lee Butler and Midgley rifled home the loose ball from 10 yards.
Pool dominated the opening half, but couldn't turn their advantage into goals. Anthony Williams was largley untroubled in the Pool goal by Paul Bracewell's side and this time there was no late scares for Chris Turner's side.
