AN exhibition of work by American artist David Everett Blythe, dedicated to one of the artists who gave him inspiration, goes on show in the North-East today.
Having studied John Ruskin's techniques, Mr Blythe is marking the Lake District artist's centenary with a display at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, in County Durham, until December 30.
The paintings on show have been exhibited at Brantwood, Ruskin's home, and at the Ruskin Museum in Coniston, in the Lake District.
Mr Blythe, born in Franklin, Virginia, has 50 titles in print, having written essays on horses, landscape and Shakespeare.
