CHILDREN at a tiny County Durham village are proving themselves to be the tops.
For the first time, pupils at Hamsteels Primary School, Esh Winning, have achieved 100 per cent in English, maths and science in the primary school league tables.
Twelve pupils who sat the tests for level four and above all achieved 100 per cent, against the national average of 75 per cent for English, 72 per cent for maths and 85 per cent for science
