A CHILDCARE facility for families in Gateshead was opened yesterday by the city's mayor, Councillor Pitch Wilson.
The family unit at Parkhead Community Primary School, in Winlaton, will offer childcare provision to children up to the age of 11, from 7.30am to 6pm each weekday.
The unit has been developed with the help of Gateshead Council's Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership, and was financially helped by the Government's New Opportunities Fund.
