POLICE hope to discover this week whether the remains of a man found on a North-East farm are that of an underworld execution victim.
A skeleton was discovered in a field near Bolam, seven miles from Darlington, last Wednesday.
Police believe the remains are that of Mark Anthony Corley, who had gone missing from his home in Grantham, Lincolnshire, on July 8.
It is thought that Corley, 22, may have been abducted and detectives have not ruled out the possibility he may have been killed in a gangland execution.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Policed said they should know within the next few days whether forensic tests have confirmed that the remains are of Corley or not
