Darlington'S Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College has launched its programme of evening courses for adults, which start in the new year.
Many of the college's well-established short programmes, including holiday French, German and Spanish, computer literacy, desktop publishing, counselling, PowerPoint, Photoshop and musical keyboard, are being offered, and a number of new courses are available.
An Internet technologies course will run for 20 weeks, on Wednesdays, from 4.15pm to 5.45pm. The course focuses on use of the Internet for research, electronic mail for business communication and creating pages for websites.
Another innovation is a six-week course on presentation skills, being held on Mondays, from 7pm to 9pm. This is designed to increase participants' confidence in giving formal and informal presentations. The college describes the course as a "must" for those wishing to improve their personal and professional skills.
Enrolment for the courses, which all begin in January, is now taking place.
For more information, prospective students are asked to visit the college, in Vane Terrace, Darlington, or telephone (01325) 461315.
