A ONE-DAY rubbish clean-up is being held today by the west Middlesbrough New Deal for Communities partnership (NDC).
Householders in the area are being encouraged to dispose of unwanted rubbish and household waste in skips provided by Middlesbrough Borough Council.
Residents from the New Deal area will work alongside council staff through the "Fly-tipping and litter in general is a problem throughout the borough.
"This is a great opportunity for local people to get rid of rubbish and unwanted waste with very little effort.
"It's particularly gratifying that young people from the area are involved in this exercise, which can only make their community a more pleasant place to live."
