TV agony aunt Denise Robertson hit the right note with youngsters plugging their charity Christmas compact disc on Wearside.
Children from Washington's Rickleton Primary School, and Fence Houses YMCA, have released Year of Friendship, with profits going to Sunderland Council for Voluntary Services.
Denise, a regular on the This Morning show, called in at The Bridges shopping centre, in Sunderland, to help sales.
The single has been written by Sunderland songwriters Dave Chapman and Ken Lovatt, to raise awareness of the city's Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership.
The scheme aims to improve childcare provision for those living on Wearside.
Copies of the disc cost £3.50 and are on sale across Sunderland.
Kate Hinchcliffe, Sunderland's childcare plan manager, was delighted Denise was supporting the song.
She said: "Earlier this year she also helped us launch our Children's Information Service Sunderland hotline.
"The aim of all our recent projects is to help parents by providing a better level of childcare facilities on Wearside and making people aware of where they can find the help that they need."
