A RADIO station is in party mood, which will last all next year.
Radio Cleveland kicks off celebrations marking 30 years of broadcasting, with a New Year's Eve roadshow.
The knees-up will continue throughout the year. Kerry Sillett, events and promotions coordinator, said: "2001 is going to be a very special year for the station, as throughout the year we will be hosting a series of special events and programmes to celebrate broadcasting to Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire for 30 years."
BBC Radio Cleveland began life as Radio Teesside in studios in Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, next to a department store called Tower House.
Girl band Siren will be in the line-up providing live music on New Year's Eve, presenter Chris Baxter will host the countdown.
Presenter Ken Snowdon will talk to some of the presenters who began their careers at Radio Cleveland, in his programme from 10pm to 1pm
