A TEESSIDE schoolteacher has provided a Christmas show for youngsters in the area.
Every year, Mike Lockey, head of music at Langbaurgh School, in Middlesbrough, holds a free show for pupils at the school, and invites children from primary schools nearby.
The performance features professional musicians, and Mr Lockey also gives a presentation of popular music.
This year's performance is extra special, because it also celebrates Mr Lockey's 30 years at Langbaurgh School, 21 years as musical director of Cleveland Symphonic Band, and 45 years as leader of the Mike Lockey Showband and the Mike Lockey Big Band.
And because of regular demands from former students and friends, the annual performance was repeated last night, and a licensed bar was put on especially for the occasion.
