A YOUTH centre in Redcar has bowed to public pressure and will be open one night a week from the New Year.
The OK4 Young People centre, which recently moved into new premises in Coatham Memorial Hall, has been open since 1992.
For the first time it will be open every Monday evening from January 8.
The club will be celebrating with an opening night based on a theme of pizza and pool, but over the following weeks there will be a variety of activities, including ice skating, bungee jumping and batik art.
Project worker Ed Harford said: "Our new premises enable us to expand the services that we offer, this provides an excellent opportunity to hold an activities-based evening drop-in, where young people can learn art and crafts, listen to live music and take part in things they didn't know they would."
