A SCALE model of a ship was presented to a mayor as an early Christmas present yesterday.
The model of a floating production storage and offtake vessel was presented to the Mayor of Middlesbrough, Councillor Kath Bevington, on behalf of the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre, by Derek Rowe, of Odebrecht Oil and Gas Services Limited.
Its full-sized counterpart is being used in the North Sea MacCulloch Field to operate and maintain process and sub-sea facilities.
Coun Bevington said: "The model is a great asset for the museum services' collection. It will go on permanent display at the Transporter Bridge Visitor Centre and add to the mix of attractions which already includes ship models, pictures, and the Royal Coat of Arms from the Custom House."
