GARDEN centre staff have stepped in to add Christmas sparkle to a hospice.
The Peter Barratt's Garden Centre group presented a selection of decorated Christmas trees, tinsel, baubles and streamers to Butterwick Children's Hospice, in Stockton.
The decorations are being used to add sparkle to the day room and bedroom areas.
Judy Bain, a senior nurse at the hospice, said: "The children's hospice has always relied on the generosity of local businesses and the public community for our day-to-day running costs and expenses, so we are very grateful to receive donations like this from Peter Barratt's that reduce our outgoings at this time of year."
Tony Swales, garden centre manager, of the Stockton branch, said: "The hospice provides such a worthwhile service to children and families that we are happy to help in any way we can."
